In surveys the vast majority of new users have indicated that they learned how to use VenueGen in under ten minutes. To simply attend an event requires almost no training.
VenueGen requires a Windows based computer and internet access.
Hosting meetings and events virtually can generate dramatic travel and time cost savings over physical meetings. VenueGen can also dramatically increase an organization's reach. Beyond hard savings there are many soft ROI benefits for creating events that feel more natural, personal and engaging.
Study after study has shown that meetings that include a 3D sense-of-presence are more engaging, more personal, more productive and more fun than any passive 2D experience. When attendees have the ability to choose where they want to look, set their own focus and visually see when they have the attention of others, both interest and retention increase by as much as 30%. VenueGen is more scalable than 2D video conferencing which only supports five to six users reliably. VenueGen's content management architecture avoids many of the limitations of desk-top-sharing. Why would anyone choose legacy 2D technologies when they can have the benefits of 3D for about the same cost?
A Free Account enables you to attend an unlimited number of events. You also get a free 30 day trial with your VenueGen membership and can host an unlimited number of meetings during that period. You are however, limited to having only one meeting scheduled at a time. There are also other limitations with free accounts such as a limited ability to control your audience. For example, you cannot expel a distruptive attendee. There is no document storage with free accounts so content must be uploaded again for each event. Free accounts do not include content security encryption, guaranteed service uptime or support. A Free Account may be all you need if you only plan to attend events.
Paid accounts allow you to host events, have more than one event scheduled at a time and they include document encryption and other functionality important to organizations and professional presenters.
VenueGen uses your email address only as a unique login. It is not visible to others and will never be made available to spammers or any marketing organization. Similar to how other popular social networking sites function, you can choose if and who you want to view the events you have attended or registered for. You also have the option to hide your identity when attending an event.
It depends. Anyone can attend a public event and see the content you present. Although difficult, users can use print screen or take a photo to copy parts of your presentation. This is true of all 2D and 3D web conferencing tools. VenueGen private events are more secure in that you have complete control over who can enter your event. Documents downloaded to registered attendees are encrypted so that they can only be seen if a presenter chooses to display them, and they are removed from the user's computer when the event has ended.
When you create your account, VenueGen downloads its 3D Client to your computer. The client communicates with our central servers to coordinate your movements, gestures, expressions, etc... to others attending the same event. When you register for an event that events content and the avatar faces of others attending that event are downloaded temporarily to your computer. This allows for extremely smooth performance when the event starts even on older computers and limited bandwidth.
